This place was so amazing. It was well worth all the money we spent service was fantastic. Food was incredible views were amazing. Would definitely go back there again..

I was invited back after my subpar experience back in December. Let me just say this--DEFINITELY a much better experience!! Our waitress, Laura, was nothing nothing short of amazing. Informative, down to earth, and attentive throughout our meal. She gave us great recs! We ordered edamame, calamari, samurai roll, and seafood fried rice. Everything was flavorful, hot, and came out pretty quick! That calamari with the garlic herb base was out of this world! Yamashiro is perfect for date nights, large parties, and birthdays! Definitely a restaurant where you can throw on something fancy and not feel out of place. I'll be back! Thank you Laura and Abdi

Great view of the city !! inside seating also beautiful with Japanese garden, environment is inviting. Great for date night. Highly recommend the grilled short rib and pork chop. The seafood friend rice leaves something to be desired. Drinks are good and strong .

I was able to finally come visit Yamashiro. We made a reservation a good month ahead of time to come for dinner to celebrate my birthday. We were hoping to have caught the sunset but missed it by a few minutes. The restaurant is near the Magic Castle and truly has a nice aura to it that makes you forget you are in Los Angeles. We had a few minutes before we were seated so we decided to roam the grounds. Sadly the bar at the bottom was closed during our visit and the garden seemed to be under some care. Our waitress was so kind and nice. We were seated outdoors since there was an event going on inside (seemed like a company holiday party). I wore a dress and brought a coat, although I had a heating lamp near by, I was still a little cold so didnt take my coat off at all. We ordered: Spicy tuna crispy rice champagne miso chilean sea bass salmon citrus roll coconut hamachi cevice white dragon roll Ryujin cocktail Everything was good, enough for two hungry adults to enjoy for dinner. Being that it was my birthday celebration, our waitress brought over a little dessert to enjoy which was a nice touch and also delicious. I also liked that our waitress gave me the time to ask her questions about the restaurant's ghost. I would love to come back and check it out during the day. I was told they have a decent Sunday brunch. Valet Parking only Reservations are highly recommended

Our family decided to have NYE dinner here and again we had a great dining experience! As usual we got the sushi boat which we truly love plus its presentation with the dry ice (smoke effect) and the pork chop, and beef yakisoba noodles. For the soup we got the regular miso and the NYE miso soup which is very filling. Our waitress, Kaitlyn, is very warm and friendly. You could feel her warmth and pleasant personality despite the busyness of the place. Kaitlyn is really good with customer service. The combination of good food and good service really counts!
